Developments in the field of metallurgy

Embedded:

  • The technology of non-destructive testing of refractory products used in metallurgical aggregates was developed and introduced.
  • The technology of non-waste electrochemical cutting of steel billets with a diameter of more than 0,5 m was developed and introduced into production.
  • The technology of production of metallurgical lime by waste converter gases was developed and patented.

Developments:

  • The technology and equipment for sealing the loading and unloading parts of rotary kilns for calcining granular materials has been improved and implemented with a view to reduce the power consumption for creating rarefaction in the furnace reduction of heat losses of flue gases by preventing of external air suction into the dust chamber and into the working zone of the rotary kiln.
  • The technologies and equipment for heating air supplied for fuel consumption have been improved and implemented with a view to reduce fuel consumption by utilizing the warmth of heated surfaces of rotating kilns equipment.
  • The technologies and equipment for preheating granular material supplied to rotary kilns have been improved and implemented in order to reduce fuel consumption by utilizing the residual heat of flue gases of the dust chamber of the rotary kiln.
  • The experimental installation of dust suppression at transshipments and transportation of calcined lime to the Lime and Refractory Shop of PJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih” has been implemented.
